Flamengo and Fluminense have had tough transitions back to Serie A after the Club World Cup, as both lost in their latest league outings. They face off on Monday, second-placed Flamengo hosting Fluminense, who are seventh. Read on for our prediction of the match.
Flamengo, against all odds, are coming off a defeat away to struggling Santos. Neymar scored the lone goal late in the game as Flamengo suffered their second league defeat of the season and dropped from the top spot.

Fluminense’s first match after their World Cup elimination had a hand in how the league summit looks at the moment. They returned to a 2-0 home loss to Cruzeiro, who leapt to the top.
Now they face the side placed second and are looking to avoid going winless in three straight matches. They had earlier lost to Chelsea at the World Cup.
