The final matchday of the 2025-26 K League 1 regular season gets underway on Saturday with fifth-place FC Seoul hosting fourth-placed Pohang Steelers. Who’ll come out on top in this match between the Dark Red Warriors and the Steel Warriors? Check out our prediction below!
Both teams are jockeying for position with an eye towards the upcoming Championship round, the Final A, which separates the top six teams and the bottom six teams. Seoul are in a strong position to make the Final A for the second year in a row with a three-point lead over seventh-place Gwangju and a superior goal differential.
The hosts come into this fixture off the back of a 1-1 away draw against Suwon before the international break. With some solid performances in the AFC Champions League Elite, Seoul are on a five match unbeaten run across all competitions (W2, D3).
As for Pohang, this will be their fourth consecutive season qualifying for the Final A, although they haven’t lifted the K League 1 trophy since 2013. They’ve been struggling domestically as of late, with a 3-1 home loss to Daejeon marking their second loss in a row and third in their last five league fixtures.
