Fireworks await at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Sunday as eight-time champions Enugu Rangers trade tackles with title-hopefuls Ikorodu City in this Nigeria Premier Football League round 18 fixture. Enugu Rangers are sixth in the standings with 26 points, while Ikorodu City are third with 29 points. Can the Flying Antelopes reawaken their NPFL title hopes with a win against Ikorodu City? Here is our prediction.

After a commanding 4-1 victory over Bayelsa United, Enugu Rangers shared the spoilers in their last game against Bendel Insurance. The Nigerian league giants nearly suffered defeat against the Benin City-based outfit before defender Henry Onyia's own goal saved a point for them at the death. 

Fidelis Ilechukwu's men have grappled with mixed results in their last five games (W2, D1, L2), but have yet to taste defeat in their nine home games this season. They have also won all four of their previous meetings against Ikorodu City. 

Ikorodu City have been one of the surprised teams in the Nigerian top-flight this season. A solid 7–8–2 record has seen the Lagos-based outfit climb to third in the standings – just four points adrift of Rivers United at the top. 

However, the Oga Boys have stumbled in their recent games. They were held to a goalless draw at home against Katsina United and have failed to win seven of their eight away fixtures this season (W1, L2, D5).
