Hosts England square off with sixth-ranked Scotland in an all-European 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup quarter-final showdown on Sunday. The winner of this tie will lock horns with either France or Republic of Ireland in the semi-finals. Can the Red Roses overcome the Dark Blues to qualify for the last four? Here is our prediction for the match.

Hosts England’s Women's Rugby World Cup title dreams remain intact after a perfect outing in Pool A. The two-time champions scored 208 points and conceded just 17 to sweep all their pool-stage matches by an average of winning margin of 63.7 points. This includes a 47-7 thumping victory over Australia in their last fixture. 

They finished top of the pool with the maximum 15 points and boast the highest point difference (191) in the tournament. John Mitchell’s side have also won all of their 29 matches since 2023, most of which by wide margins.

Scotland ended their pool-stage campaign on a disappointing note, losing 40-19 to Canada. The Dark Blues trailed the Canadians by 12 points in the first half and lost the second 21-14 to suffer their first defeat of the tournament.  

Nonetheless, their initial strong performances against Wales and Fiji had secured their berth in the knockout stages. They have lost each of their 10 previous meetings with England by blowout margins.
