Emma Raducanu vs Cristina Bucsa Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA London

Unseeded Emma Raducanu could regain her position as British number one this week. The 22-year-old faces qualifier Cristina Bucsa in round one of the WTA grass court tournament at Queen's Club London, Here's our match  prediction.

Raducanu is 40th in the live rankings and that's only three places below current British top ranked player Katie Boulter. If Raducanu can go further than Boulter this week, then the former US Open champion will return to the top spot.

A deep run in this WTA 500 tournament would also boost her chances of being seeded  at Wimbledon this year. Raducanu has twice reached the fourth round of that Grand Slam, including last year.

Although her first major success was reaching the last 16 at Wimbledon in 2021, Raducanu (like her opponent here) has never reached a grass court final.  The winner of this match faces either Rebecca Sramkova or Barbora Krejcikova in round two.

Cristina Bucsa is down at 102nd in the live rankings and had to qualify to get into the main draw. That nearly went wrong as the Spaniard had to come from a set down to win her second qualifying round match.

The 27-year-old has been knocked out in round two at Wimbledon for the past couple of years. We tip Raducanu to win this in straight sets.
