Emma Navarro is playing in only her second Australian Open. The eighth seed takes on Daria Kasatkina (seeded one place below her) for a place in the quarter-finals. Can the American win? Here's our match prediction.

Navarro made her debut in this outdoor hard court Grand Slam last year, losing in round three. The 23-year-old has gone one round further this year but has had some tough matches. Peyton Stearns, Wang Xiyu and Ons Jabeur have all taken her to a final set.

Her first round match against Peyton Stearns saw her have to come from behind and had 38 games played in it with two tie-breaks. Before this tournament, Navarro only won one of her three matches in two warm-up tournaments.

Daria Kasatkina has finally reached round four in Melbourne at her tenth attempt. The Russian is up a place to ninth in the live rankings and reaching the semi-final will see her end the tournament above Navarro.

Kasatkina has already reached one quarter-final this year, reaching that stage in Adelaide. Three matches in Melbourne have been won without a set being dropped. The last round saw her beat 24th seed Yulia Putintseva in straight sets.
