We're guaranteed a qualifier in the second round of the Miami Open outdoor hard court tournament. Roberto Bautista Agut takes on Emilio Nava with the winner up against 28th seed Sebastian Korda in round two of this Masters 1000 tournament. Agut is ranked 100th but five years ago was as high as ninth. The Spaniard had to win two matches to get into the main draw. He beat Benjamin Hassan in straight sets but then had to go to a final set to beat Otto Virtanen, losing the middle one. Those two wins have taken him to 92nd in the live rankings. The 35-year-old began this year brightly with a run to the last eight in Hong Kong but it's a been a bit dismal since then. He did beat Richard Gasquet in Montpellier to reach round two but lost to Karen Khachanov in straight sets.

Emilio Nava was a career high 132nd in the latest ranking. His qualifying for this Miami Open first round has set a new one of 124th. Like his opponent he had a tough time getting through the qualifying rounds. The American didn't lose a set but three of those played had at least 12 games played in them. He beat the second seed in qualifying Yoshihio Nishioka to make it into round one here for the first time. Nava has had some good results on the Challenger Tour with a quarter final in Cleveland but some success on the ATP Tour as well. He made it to the last 16 in the outdoor hard court event held in Los Cabos beating Diego Schwartzman before losing to Jordan Thompson. His most recent tournament saw him get to the last 16 of the Phoenix Challenger event.  A bet on the more experienced Agut to win is our suggested wager.
