Muchova showed some sign of her ability on this surface when reaching the quarter final at Surbiton a couple of years ago. The daughter of Czech footballer Josef Mucha has probably achieved a few of her goals this week in getting to this quarter final. She's had to do it the hard way with a victory over 20th seed Annet Kontaveit in round three, followed by coming from a set down to beat third seed Karolina Pliskova on Monday winning 13-11 in the final set.
