Edinburgh look to get off to a winning start in the European Rugby Champions Cup. They begin Pool 2 with a home match against RC Toulon. Also in this pool are Bath, Castres, Munster and Gloucester Time for our match prediction.
A top four finish takes a team into the last 16 of this competition. Finishing in the top two will guarantee a home draw. Last season saw Edinburgh playing in the European Challenge Cup. They made it all the way to the semi-finals but were beaten by the eventual winners Bath.
Edinburgh are currently tenth in the United Rugby Championship with a couple of wins and three defeats. All those losses have come on the road and the Scottish club have won both of their home fixtures with a +45 points difference and that includes beating Benetton 43-0.
RC Toulon are third in Top 14 but that's mainly because of their impressive home form. All six of their home games have been won but on the road it's been a very different story. Just one game has been won with four defeats with a -72 points difference.
They reached the quarter-finals of this competition last season.
