Daniil Medvedev vs Denis Shapovalov Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Vienna

Top seeded Daniil Medvedev takes on unseeded Denis Shapovalov in the final of the Erste Open. Medvedev topped the rankings earlier in the year but began this tournament ranked fourth. Winning this title will take him above Casper Ruud into third place. It would also clinch his place in the end-of-season Tour Finals. He's only won one title this season so another one now would be a big boost heading into the Paris Masters and Tour Finals. It's been smooth progress for him this week with all four matches won in straight sets. That includes a win over sixth seeded Jannik Sinner in the last eight. The semi-finals saw him defeat unseeded Grigor Dimitrov. No player has won more than six games against him this week.

Sunday could be a massive day for Canadian tennis. They've already won the ATP Cup this year (that's now been discontinued) and as well as Shapovalov in this final, Felix Auger-Aliassime is in the Basel final. Shapovalov has been making his way back up the rankings and is 16th in the live rankings. A win over Medvedev would take him up to 15th. He's in consistent form with a final in Seoul followed by reaching the last four in Tokyo. Last week saw him get to the last eight in Stockholm and he's had another good week in Vienna. He's beaten fourth seeded Taylor Fritz in round two and then had wins over Dan Evans and in his semi-final Borna Coric, winning the second set without losing a game. He's yet to drop a set this week but we expect that to end on Sunday. Back Medvedev to win this final.
