Daniil Medvedev vs Alex De Minaur Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP US Open

2021 champion Daniil Medvedev faces 13th seeded Alex de Minaur in the US Open fourth round. The third seed has reached the US Open quarter finals on three previous occasions and also reached the final in 2019. If wining this match, he'll take on either eighth seeded Andrey Rublev or unseeded Jack Draper in the last eight. Medvedev is the world number three and has won five titles this year. All but one was won on a hard court but he hasn't won a tournament since the Rome Masters in May. 35 of his 40 hard court matches have been won this year. In this year's US Open he's only dropped one set so far. That definitely wasn't in the first round when only two games were dropped against Atilla Balazs. It was Christopher O'Connell in round two who took one set off him.

Alex de Minaur is up to a career high 11th in the live rankings. If he wins this match and Alexander Zverev loses to Jannik Sinner, then he'll be in the top ten for the first time. The Australian has been in good form of late on hard courts. He reached the final in both Los Cabos and Toronto. De Minaur has only dropped one set so far in this tournament and in the last round, he beat 23rd seeded Nicolas Jarry, losing just six games. His record against Medvedev isn't good with only two wins in six previous meetings with the Russian with all those matches on hard courts. Medvedev won the first four but de Minaur has beaten him in their last two matches. The most recent was in Toronto with de Minaur winning in straight sets. We believe Alex de Minaur can cause an upset here.
