Those two wins have taken the Australian climb to 65th in the live rankings. He's back in form after a run of poor form that saw him win just one out of seven matches.
Denis Shapovalov has risen from 78th to 66th thanks to this run to the last eight in Belgrade. The Canadian is in his second successive quarter-final after also reaching this stage in Basel. He had to win two qualifying matches to get into the main draw.
Shapovalov did so without dropping a set but then ran into trouble in the first round. He had to come from a set down to beat Marton Fucsovics. Round two went smoother with a straight sets win over fifth seed Nuno Borges.
