The 33rd-ranked Brit still has some way to go in the final few months of the year if he is to avoid having his first losing record since 2017. Evans has 19 wins and 24 losses on the year for a winning mark of 44.2%, some way off his career 60.6% winning percentage. He comes into this encounter as a massive underdog to pull off the upset, which is not surprising considering the season both players are having.
