Brighton will look for their first Premier League win of the 2025-26 campaign when they host Manchester City on matchday three on Sunday. This match in Brighton and Hove between the 18th-placed Brighton (one point) and the sixth-placed Manchester City (three points) comes with our prediction of over 2.5 goals. Brighton defeated Oxford 6-0 away from home in the EFL Cup midweek fixture, where four goals at and beyond the hour mark gave them a comprehensive win. It was much-needed for the hosts, as the Seagulls started the season with no wins in two league games.
That included a 1-1 home draw against Fulham and a 2-0 away loss to Everton on matchday two. With both games seemingly winnable, Brighton will consider these points lost.

Brighton are still missing a few key players, as Solly March is yet to recover from a long-term knee problem. Adam Webster is set to miss a few more weeks after suffering a serious knee injury.
