Botswana vs Guinea Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup

Round two in Group G of the CAF World Cup qualifiers will see Botswana play host to Guinea on Tuesday evening. The hosts are in fourth place in the group standings, while the visitors are second. Algeria lead the group with six points following back-to-back victories in their first two games. Botswana suffered a 3-2 defeat to Mozambique in their first match of the competition. With that result, they are now winless in four consecutive competitive games. However, The Zebras did secure friendly match victories over Zimbabwe and Eswatini last month. The hosts’ home record has been fairly good this year, with three wins in five games since March. They also scored in each of those matches. While Botswana have improved of late, they are still ranked 148th according to FIFA and are the underdogs in this match. 

Meanwhile, now ranked 15th in Africa, Guinea continued their impressive form by securing a win in their first match of the group. They beat Uganda 2-1 at home, with Seydouba Cisse scoring the winner in stoppage time. With that result, the visitors are now unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions, including two wins and two draws. Guinea also had a very good AFCON qualification campaign where they finished second in their group behind Egypt. During that time, they took ten points in six matches and finished above Malawi and Ethiopia in the standings. The National Elephants have won all three of their previous encounters against this opponent. They also scored two or more goals in each of those matches. The visitors are fancied to go back-to-back in this one.
