After a terrible start to the season, losing three in a row, the Boston Celtics got up and running for the campaign with a much-needed 122-90 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday.

Holding on to leads and seeing out games were the downfall of the C’s in their first three games, but that was not the case against the Pels, as they powered to victory with a dominant fourth quarter (35-12). 

With Jayson Tatum sidelined, it was a welcome sight for Joe Mazzulla to have six of his players finish in double digits, including Anfernee Simons, who drained six threes to finish with 25 points. 

Meanwhile, after losing their season-opener, the Cleveland Cavaliers have bounced back in style, winning three in a row, with the most recent being a 116-95 victory over the Pistons on Monday. 

Donovan Mitchell has picked up where he left off from last season, now averaging 31.3 PPG, while Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley have also lifted their level of play over the early stages. 

These sides split their four matches last season, two wins apiece. Darius Garland, Max Strus and Sam Merrill are ruled out for this match for the visitors.
