Bosnia-Herzegovina host Ukraine in one of the Path B semi-final matches in the Euro 2024 Championship playoffs. The winner of this game will host the Path B final in either Sarajevo, or in the case of Ukraine, Wroclaw in Poland. After a very poor Euro 2024 qualifying campaign which saw Bosnia-Herzegovina win just three of their ten games, including two defeats to Luxembourg, it was their Nations League performance that saw them earn a place in these playoffs. They come into this game in poor form, having lost all their last three games, including a 5-0 loss at home to Portugal, followed by a 4-1 loss away to Luxembourg and then another home defeat, 2-1 this time to Slovakia. Unsurprisingly, they are the underdogs for this one-leg tie against the visiting Ukraine.

The issues facing the Ukraine national team are well-documented but they performed well in Euro 2024 qualifying, finishing a close third to Italy in England's group and but for a controversial late disallowed goal against Italy in their final group game, they could well already be qualified. They have held England, Germany and Italy to draws in their last eight games and have lost just one match in that run, a 2-1 defeat away in Italy. Their only defeats in 2023 came away to England and Italy, so they should be very confident of picking up a result against an out of sorts Bosnia and Herzegovina team that have shipped 11 goals in their last three games.
