by Ian John in League One Predictions
Two of the in-form teams in League One meet at St. Andrews on Tuesday night. Check out our prediction for this crucial match as the Blues of Birmingham City take on the Trotters of Bolton Wanderers in what promises to be a monster midweek matchup in the Midlands!
League One leaders Birmingham warmed up for this fixture by getting back to winning ways in style. They traveled to Lincoln at the weekend and despite going a goal down in the first minute, emerging with a 3-1 win.
That result kept them top of the table, still two points ahead of Wrexham and Wycombe.
Bolton (along with Wycombe and Exeter) have the best form in League One over the last five games, four wins and a draw. They moved up to 11th in the table with a 2-1 home win on Saturday against Burton Albion. All three goals in that game came in a five minute spell in the second half.
This should be a cracking game, with Birmingham winning eight of their last nine games in League One and Bolton unbeaten in five and winning four of those games. And both teams have been finding goals plentiful of late during their respective runs in the division.

Our Birmingham vs Bolton Prediction
Our prediction for Birmingham City vs. Bolton Wanderers in League One is: Over 2.5 Goals to be scored.
This game is a great example of where current data overrides the historic data of a fixture Historically, this fixture has not seen more than one goal scored in any of the last eight games (seven finishing 1-0, the other game a 0-0 draw). But all those games came between 2014 and 2019. Both teams are much changed since these games and are currently in excellent form and scoring goals plenty. As such, a trend-breaking over 2.5 goals bet looks promising.
2 Goals Ahead Early Payout

More than 80 leagues and competitions are available on this football promotion from bet365. If the team that you have backed takes a two-goal lead at any point in the game, then your bet is a winner. This counts on both single bets and on multiple placed on the full time market, though of course on a multiple it is only the game in question that is marked as a winner, all the other selections still have to win as well.
A bet placed on any enhanced price is not valid for this offer, nor any bet that is cashed out. If you have partially chased out, the remainder of the stake is paid out as a winner. If your acca selection would have been a loser but for this offer then you will not gain any acca boost winnings. So for example, your team goes 2-0 up so you are paid out as a winner but the end result is 2-2, your bet is still a winner if all the other selections win but you do not gain any acca boost.
