A couple of unseeded players face each other in round three at Wimbledon. Belinda Bencic faces Elisabetta Cocciaretto for a place in the last 16 of this grass court Grand Slam. Read our match prediction below.

Belinda Bencic has reached the last 16 here on three previous occasions. The last was in 2023 and the Swiss player missed last year's tournament. 2025 has already been a big year for the 28-year-old with the Abu Dhabi hard court title being won.

 One grass court title has been won in her career, though that was ten years ago. Four other finals have been reached. This week has produced victories over Alycia Parks  and Elsa Jacquemont. Bencic had to come from a set down to win the latter and is now 29th in the live rankings.

Elisabetta Cocciaretto is in the third round of this tournament for the second time, the other appearance being in 2023. The 24-year-old Italian caused a shock in round one when beating third seed Jessica Pegula in straight sets.

That was followed up by a win over Katie Volynets. Only nine games have been lost in her two wins and Cocciaretto is 98th in the live rankings. Cocciaretto is in form but this is tough and we tip Bencic to get the win.
