The annual Joan Gamper Trophy will see Barcelona and Como fight it out in a friendly on Sunday. This match at Estadi Johan Cruyff between the Catalans and ‘I Lariani’ comes with our prediction of a Barcelona win with both teams scoring goals.
This will be the last friendly for Barcelona before the 2025-26 La Liga campaign starts with a season opener against Mallorca next week. This would be Como’s final friendly of the season before their competitive campaign starts with a Coppa Italia match against Sudtirol next week.
Barcelona had a successful Asian trip where they ended with three comprehensive wins in friendlies. They scored 15 goals in those games but have also conceded in two of those games.
The Catalan giants are likely to continue their scoring run as the likes of Marcus Rashford look to impress coach Hansi Flick, while new signing Roony Bardghji is set to continue his scoring prowess from the Asian tour.
All eyes will be on Cesc Fabregas in the Como camp, with the La Masia academy product bringing his managerial reputation from last year. Como finished 10th in Serie A in the 2024-25 campaign after winning six of their last eight games of the campaign.
The visitors have also impressed in the friendlies, winning all four friendlies, each time scoring exactly three goals.
