Barbora Krejcikova vs Sara Sorribes Tormo Prediction & Betting Tips - Abu Dhabi Open

The lucky loser Sara Sorribes Tormo will be hoping to prolong her Abu Dhabi campaign when she battles third seed Barbora Krejcikova next. They will square off in the second round with the winner next playing either Liudmila Samsonova or Anhelina Kalinina. Barbora Krejcikova is set to play in this WTA 500 event for the third time. She has never progressed past the second round and will be hoping the time to do so has come. The Czech number three is returning to the tour after a two-week break. She last was on the court at the Australian Open where she finished amongst the last eight. Ranked 12th in the live ranking, Krejcikova has had a promising start to the year. She has won four of the six matches she has so far played with every single one coming on hard court. Krejcikova defeated Tormo in their only other encounter which was 10 years ago in Luxembourg.

Sara Sorribes Tormo battled through two hours and nine minutes to defeat Linda Noskova in three sets in the first round. The Spaniard had lost in the final qualifying round and got the chance to play in the main draw as a lucky loser. She will be hoping to prolong her tournament even further than her quarterfinal finish three seasons ago. Tormo has had a poor start to the year and before arriving in Abu Dhabi had won just once. She has lost five of the seven matches she has contested with all seven matches taking place on hard courts. Advancing to this round has moved the 27-year-old up one place to 54th in the live ranking.
