Barbora Krejcikova vs Beatriz Haddad Maia Prediction & Betting Tips - Tallinn, Estonia, Qualifying

Seventh seeded Barbora Krejcikova takes on the the third seeded Beatriz Haddad Maia in the Tallinn Open quarter finals. The winner of this match faces either second seeded Belinda Bencic or unseeded Donna Vekic in the last four. Krejcikova was the world number two in May of this year but has slumped to 27th in the rankings. The 2021 French Open champion lost in the first round this year, hence her lower ranking now. Her year began with a  final in Sydney and then making it to the quarter final in the Australian Open but it's been mainly disappointing. This is her first last eight appearance since July when getting to the quarter finals of a clay court tournament held in Hamburg. A win here will put her in only the second semi-final of the year. Wins this week have come against Ajla Tomljanovic and Marta Kostyuk without dropping a set. Her one previous match against Maia was won but that was way back in 2016.

Beatriz Haddad Maia was as low as 88th in the rankings in January. It's been an impressive year for her though and she began this week in a career high 15th place.The Brazilian has moved up another place in the live rankings. She's also 14th in the live WTA race and has an outside chance of reaching the Tour Finals. Maia won two grass court tournaments earlier this year but then lost in the first round at Wimbledon. Better form has been shown since then though with a semi-final in the National Bank Open in Toronto and this is her third straight quarter final. This week has seen her get victories over Wang Xinyu in three sets (middle set lost) and a straight sets win over qualifier Linda Noskova.  This could be a tight match with Krejcikova showing some improved form this week. Back Maia to get the win but it may take her three sets to do so.
