Australia vs Spain Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Cup, Group B

Australia are the host nations for this ATP Cup and a win would be a welcome boost at a difficult time for the country. However, they have to take on Spain in the semi-finals and it looks like the end of the road for them. Australia won Group F beating Canada, Germany and Greece winning all nine rubbers. That took them into the last eight where they finally lost a rubber but got the better of Great Britain 2-1. Alex de Minaur has again shown he is a player to follow this year with impressive wins over Alexander Zverev and Denis Shapovalov but lost to Dan Evans in the quarter final. He will need to be on the top of his game in this semi-final though as he has to face world number one Rafael Nadal. Nick Kyrgios is unbeaten this week, including a win over Stefanos Tsitispas and his match with Roberto Bautista Agut is going to be a crucial opener.

Spain won the Davis Cup at the end of 2019 and are looking to claim another trophy this week. They were also in dominant form in the group stages when up against Japan, Georgia and Uruguay. All nine of their rubbers were won for the loss of only two sets. Both of those were in the doubles with Nadal and Agut showing impressive form. Their group win took them into a quarter final against Belgium but they struggled to win that tie. Agut put Spain 1-0 up but then Belgium got back into the tie when David Goffin beat Nadal in straight sets. Nadal returned to the court for the doubles and Spain had to come from behind to win that rubber and the tie. This should be a cracker of a semi-final and there might not be too much in it . Spain seem to have the slight edge and can make it to the final.
