Ashleigh Barty vs Marketa Vondrousova Prediction & Betting Tips - Roland Garros

Ashleigh Barty is seeded eighth for this tournament and is the only seed left in the tournament. This is her first Grand Slam final and follows on from her last eight appearance at the Australian Open earlier this year. Previous visits to Paris have seen the Australian fail to make it past the second round but has shown great form in the past fortnight. Previously on clay this season, her best performance had been a quarter-final in Madrid but in this French Open she has reached the final losing just two sets. She had to come from a set down to beat Sofia Anna Kenin in he last 16 and did the same in her semi-final against Amanda Anisimova despite leading 5-0 at one stage.

Her opponent in this final is Marketa Vondrousova who is ranked 38th in the world. It's a breakthrough Grand Slam tournament for her as she'd previously failed to make it past the second round  in Paris and her only time in the fourth round was at last year's US Open. Vondrousova has had an impressive 2019 with a quarter final at Indian Wells, some lower-level finals and a quarter final in Rome. She's twice beaten Simona Halep this year including a win in this tournament. Four seeded players have been beaten by her and she's yet to lose a set. This should be a close match and unless her nerves get to her, Vondrousova can win the final.
