Aryna Sabalenka vs Nikola Bartunkova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Berlin Open

Nikola Bartunkova, a wildcard in Berlin, has qualified for the quarter-finals, where she will square off with top seed Aryna Sabalenka. This is their first career meeting, and having struggled against top-10 opponents, our prediction goes against Bartunkova. 

Sabalenka defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova in straight sets as she made her return to Berlin. Last season, the world number one was eliminated in the semi-final here. 

It was her best-ever result in the German capital, and she will be keen to go a step further this week. Sabalenka has made light work of most of her opponents this term and has compiled a dominant 32-4 record. She has won three titles but has yet to claim a major.

Nikola Bartunkova is having an exciting grass season and will be more than a handful for Sabalenka. The 20-year-old made her grass-court debut at the Birmingham Challenger, where she lost in the final. 

So far, Bartunkova has played eight matches on grass and has won six times. Two of those victories have been registered this week. 

Yet to drop a set in the German capital, Bartunkova ousted world number 23, Elise Mertens, in the previous round. She has now won 23 matches, alternating between the tour and challenger circuits.
