Arsenal will be back in Premier League action this weekend and will welcome Bournemouth on Saturday. With four matches left to conclude the campaign, Arsenal sit in second place, 17 points above their 10th-placed visitors. Below is our prediction for this match, which will be staged at the Emirates Stadium.
Though they were squeezed out of title contention, the Gunners’ season is still very much in play with a Champions League spot at stake. They will also hope to finish not lower than second. Bournemouth are also in with a chance of securing a European spot for next season.
The Cherries shocked their soon-to-be hosts in the reverse game, winning 2-0 at home to hand them their first loss of the season in the league. Arsenal are coming off a disappointing loss at home in the Champions League to PSG. There is a big possibility that preparing for that second leg tie will weigh heavily in the team selection on Saturday.
The Spanish coach could tinker with his lineup and opt to give some of his starters a rest. Arsenal have struggled in recent outings, especially in the league, where they’ve won just one of their last four games.
They drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace last time out, with the result all but ending their title hopes. Arsenal are already assured of a place in Europe next season, but with 67 points, they have to win twice more to secure Champions League qualification.
Bournemouth are eying a first double against Arsenal.
Bournemouth are mathematically in with a chance at finishing among the top seven and thus qualifying for the Conference League. Andoni Iraola’s men, however, do not have their fate in their hands and will have to rely on other results to make this a reality.
The Cherries have amassed 50 points and are seven points off the top seven. They have won 13 matches and drawn a further 11. Bournemouth have been solid recently and haven’t lost in four games after previously losing three in a row. They drew 1-1 with Man United last time out.

Leandro Trossard has netted eight times for Arsenal in the league this season. With the Gunners in crisis as all their natural strikers are out, the Belgian is likely to be preferred to lead the line against Bournemouth as he did against PSG.
Mikel Arteta could ring changes, seeing Ethan Nwaneri given a starting berth on Saturday. The youngster could be crucial for the Gunners, who may opt not to risk Bukayo Saka, a man with three goals in six matches against Bournemouth.

At Bournemouth, Justin Kluivert is having his best offensive output since joining the team back in 2023. He has netted a team-leading 12 league goals and was on target in the home win against Arsenal, slotting home a late penalty.
