Wild card Arianne Hartono faces unseeded Elisabetta Cocciaretto for a place in round two of the Libema Open. For the winner, there's a match against either fourth seed Magda Linette or unseeded Bernarda Pera. Here's our match prediction.

Hartono is playing her second grass court tournament of the year. The French player competed in the WTA event in Birmingham and managed to lose twice. After being reinstated as a lucky loser, the 29-year-old was then beaten in the first round.

That took her record for 2025 to 10-16 and is 177th in the live rankings with a career-high of 135th. Hartono lost both of her WTA Tour grass court matches last year  Three previous attempts to qualify for the Wimbledon main draw have all failed.

Elisabetta Cocciaretto has dropped out of the top 100 in the live rankings and is 122nd. That's because the Italian has dropped 33 places after losing the points earned when reaching the last four in Birmingham last year. That run saw her beat Jelena Ostapenko, Sloane Stephens and Diana Shnaider

That was the only grass court tournament Cocciaretto played last year. In 2023, the Italian made it to round three at Wimbledon.
