With the Rugby Championship just weeks away, Argentina warm-up with a home international against England. The visitors will be fielding a weakened line-up for this game but can they still win the game? Read our match prediction.
Argentina had a good win over the British and Irish Lions last month. This is the first of two matches for the Pumas against England, the other being on July 12th. One more game will be played against Uruguay before they begin the Rugby Championship with a home match against New Zealand on August 16.
England don't have any competitive fixtures until next January when the Six Nations gets underway. That gives them plenty of time to build some form but they will be fielding a weakened line-up this weekend. That's due to this match clashing with the Lions tour of Australia. England will hope that the players coming into the side will take their chances and provide a few selection problems when the regulars make their return for the Autumn Internationals.

Argentina - England: Form Analysis
Argentina had lost to France and Ireland before last weekend's 28-24 win over the British and Irish Lions. Last year saw them finish third in the Rugby Championship behind world champions South Africa and New Zealand. They won three of their six matches but lost the others.
The Pumas will be looking to improve their record against England. Of 27 matches between the two sides, 21 have been won by England, five by Argentina and one drawn. Three of their wins and the draw came on home soil.
Argentina hasn't beaten England since 2022.
Argentina's last win over England was achieved three years ago when recording a famous victory at Twickenham. The last four home games against England have ended in defeat but this is a good opportunity for the Pumas to get a win.
England finished second in this year's Six Nations and only ended a point behind champions France. Three of their four wins came at Twickenham with the only loss being away to Ireland. They have won their last four international fixtures but with a much stronger line-up.

There are 13 English players who usually play for them unavailable for this match. That's because they are currently in Australia on Lions duty. Nine of the 15 who will start this match have fewer than 15 caps.
Both Will Muir (wing) and Seb Atkinson (centre) will be playing their first internationals for England. It will be three debuts if Guy Pepper comes off the bench. Sam Underhill returns after being unable to play in the Six Nations due to an ankle injury.
100 caps for George Ford.
It'll be a special occasion on Saturday for George Ford. He will be making his 100th Test appearance for England and only six other men have achieved that. He'll be captaining the side with Jamie George.
England are only one place below their opponents in the world rankings. The lack of experienced players is not going to help them this weekend. They recognise the fact the Pumas are in good form after their win over the Lions last weekend and have home advantage.
Argentina have made six changes to their starting XV. Benjamin Elizalde will be making his international debut for the home side. Getting a win here isn't everything in the world with two more internationals to play this month. Building momentum towards the Rugby Championship will still be desired.
