Andy Murray had a real off day when he lost to Rafael Nadal on Tuesday. He made far too many unforced errors in that match and the Spaniard ran out a straight sets winner. If the Scot wants to reach the semi-final of this tournament then he has to win this match. Mind you, with Roger Federer having won the other group a semi-final would be against Novak Djokovic. It might even be better for Murray to lose here and get some more practice on clay in readiness for the Davis Cup Final next week. Well, that's the view of someone who wants to see Great Britain win the cup and Murray, as much as he wants to win next week would love to win this tournament too. If he gets back to the form that he's been showing in recent weeks then a win over Wawrinka is a definite possibility. Wawrinka also needs a win here having beaten Ferrer and lost to Nadal. His record against the very best players in the world isn't that fantastic in recent months and that French Open win on clay feels a very long time ago. I go for a Murray win here to get him into the semi-finals in a tournament that looks set for a Djokovic v Federer final.
