For the eighth successive tournament, we'll have a first time winner of the women's singles. Eight seed Iga Swiatek takes on 13th-seeded Amanda Anisimova in Saturday's final of this grass court Grand Slam. Who'll lift the trophy? Read our match prediction below.
Before this year, Iga Swiatek had never made it past the quarter-finals of this tournament. The Pole was the losing finalist in Bad Homburg this year and is now in her first ever Wimbledon final. Improvement has been shown as this tournament has progressed. The 24-year-old is now up to fourth in the live rankings and will go up to third if becoming Wimbledon champion.
Amanda Anisimova lost in the qualifying rounds last year. 2025 has been a good year for her though with a WTA 1000 hard court tournament won. The final of the recent grass court event at Queen's Club was also reached. The 23-year-old is the first American to make it to this final since Serena Williams six years ago. Not since Serena's last win in 2016, has an American won this title but Anisimova will be out to achieve that feat and win her first Grand Slam singles title.

Amanda Anisimova - Iga Swiatek: Form Analysis
Iga Swiatek bids to become the first ever Polish woman to win this title. The 24-year-old has had her problems in the past on this surface but it all seems to have finally come right for her in 2025.
Swiatek is having her best ever grass court season.
Of her ten matches played on this surface this summer, nine have been won. Her only loss came in the Bad Homburg Open final when losing to Jessica Pegula. Before 2025, Swiatek had never won more than seven grass court matches in a calendar year.
Just one set has been dropped on her way to this final. Each of her last four matches have been won in straight sets. Thursday saw her defeat Belinda Bencic 6-2 6-0 and only nine games have been lost in her last two matches.
Her American opponent is in her second grass court final of the year. Queen's Club saw her beaten by Tatjana Maria in the title decider. Of her 14 grass court matches played this year, 12 have been won. Those wins have taken her to a career-high seventh in the live rankings.
Thursday saw her beat top seed and world number one Aryna Sabalenka in three sets. That was her third match in this tournament that has gone all the way.

It took Amanda Anisimova 141 games to reach this final, 27 more than Swiatek. Despite that, the American has only been on court for 32 more minutes than her opponent. Neither player has reported any injury worries during this tournament.
This is the first ever match between Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova. The big question here is why Swiatek is playing so much better on grass this year? One reason looks to be the fact the courts at Wimbledon aren't playing as fast as they usually do. This allows Swiatek to dominate from the back of the court as she regularly does on clay.
