Alexandre Muller vs Constant Lestienne Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Winston-Salem Open

We have an all-French clash in the first round of the hard court Winston Salem Open. Constant Lestienne faces compatriot Alexandre Muller with the winner up against 15th seed Pavel Kotov in round two. Read our match prediction below.

Lestienne was due to be facing Thiago Monteiro but he's pulled out of the tournament. Muller was the top seed for the qualifiers but he's been moved into the main draw now. Lestienne is down at 110th in the live rankings, 34 below Muller.

He was 88th in the last rankings list but is losing the points earned when winning a Challenger Tour event last August. As a result, he has to battle his way back into the top 100. Lestienne is playing his first tournament since the Hall of Fame Open in July.

That saw him lose in round one, his third consecutive defeat. They were all on grass though and he'll hope for some better results now he's back on hard courts. He's only won three matches in ATP Tour main draws this year and failed to get past the last 16.

In the Live ATP Race, he's only 210th with Muller currently in 63rd. There's been one match between the pair and that was won by Muller in Auckland this year on an outdoor hard court. His last tournament was the Cary Challenger played last week and he lost in his first match.

That was his first hard court event since the Miami Masters in March. He's been playing on clay and recently won a Challenger Tour event in San Marino. On hard courts this year, Muller did reach the last eight in Auckland at the start of the year but has had just two  ATP Tour main draw victories since then.
