Raphael Collignon had never made it past round one of a grass court tournament before this week. He'd only played three grass court matches as a professional, losing two of them. He had to play two qualifiers to reach the main draw and has since beaten Alexei Popyrin and Mattia Bellucci.
His best form in 2026 has been shown on clay with two Challenger Tour titles being won. He did get to an ATP Tour hard court final in Brisbane,
