Alex Michelsen vs Francisco Cerundolo Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP National Bank Open

Francisco Cerundoio is the 16th seed for the outdoor hard court National Bank Open in Montreal. He received a bye into this second round and has a tough match against unseeded Alex Michelsen. His opponent was a quarter-finalist in Washington last week and our prediction is he will win this match.

The winner will take on either 24th seed Ugo Humbert, Daniel Merida or Liam Draxl in the third round.

Alex Michelsen was 42nd in the latest rankings, 19 places below his opponent. He has been in good form on outdoor hard courts this year with a 19-7 record. He won the recent Challenger Tour event played in Bloomfield Hills.

His best run on the ATP Tour came in Brisbane with the semi-finals reached.  Last week saw his good form continue with the quarter-finals reached in Washington where he lost to eventual winner Taylor Fritz.

Round one saw him beat Jan-Lennard Struff in three sets.

The pair are 1-1 in previous meetings and this is their first match on this surface.

Francisco Cerundolo's best results this year have come on other surfaces..He has won titles on both clay and grass with a best on this surface of quarter-finals in Indian Wells and Los Cabos,.

The Los Cabos tournament was last week with him losing to eventual champion Arthur Gea.
