Ajla Tomljanovic vs Elena Rybakina Prediction & Betting Tips - Wimbledon Qualification, England

17th seeded Elena Rybakina takes on unseeded Ajla Tomljanovic in the Wimbledon quarter finals. Rybakina was born in Russia but now represents Kazakhstan. Rybakina may be seeded 17th but that makes her the third highest remaining seed at the time of writing. The winner of this match faces either 16th seeded Simona Halep or 20th seed Amanda Anisimova. Rybakina is only playing the main draw here for the second time. Her previous best Wimbledon performance was getting to the fourth round last year. This is only her second Grand Slam quarter final, the other being in the French Open last year. The world number 23 didn't get past the last 16 of either of the two Wimbledon warm-up events she played. It's been a different story at Wimbledon itself with not one set dropped on her way to this quarter final. 

Ajla Tomljanovic is ranked 44th in the world and is playing in her second successive Wimbledon quarter final. The Australian also got to this stage in the Nottingham grass court event held last month. Two other last eights had been reached earlier in the year. Grass is the surface that Tomljanovic gets the best results on though. One seed has already been beaten by her in this tournament. The third round saw her defeat 13th seeded Barbora Krejcikova (not having anywhere near as good a year as in 2021) after losing the first set. Round four saw the Australian beat Alize Cornet, again losing the first set. There's been one previous meeting between the pair. Rybakina got the win on clay last year, losing just four games and none in the second set. It'll be tougher for her this time around but Rybakina can be backed to get the win.
