It was only in 2013 that Wigan Athletic won the FA Cup. Since then there's been a series of relegations and promotions and they currently sit top of League One. That makes them the highest placed team in the FA Cup second round and they face a tricky away tie at National League side AFC Fylde. The non-leaguers have beaten two fellow non-league sides Wrexham and Kidderminster Harriers to reach the second round for the first time in their history. They have won a cup final at Wembley winning the FA Vase and this game against Wigan is one of the biggest in their short history. Flyde are 16th in the National League which is two divisions below their opponents. They are ten points above the relegation zone but have two games in hand and are only seven points off the play-offs so Flyde could be a league side next season and have won four of their last five home games. Wigan have only lost one of their last ten league games and beat Crawley 2-1 in the First Round. Last season they lost to Manchester United in the third round, a draw both teams would love to get if they make it to the next round.
