Aberdeen host Dundee at Pittodrie this weekend in the Scottish Premiership and the Dons are still seeking their first win, and their first league goal, of the campaign. It has been a rotten season for Jimmy Thelin and Aberdeen. The Scottish Cup Winners have picked up just one point from six games, losing five times and failing to score a goal in any of those league matches. Unsurprisisingly they are bottom of the table. Dundee are slightly better off in ninth position with six points from their seven matches.
Aberdeen's recent form is a continuing tale of woe. They were beaten 2-0 away by Dundee United in the league and then last weekend, lost 2-0 away to Motherwell also in the League. In midweek, they were in Conference League action and despite scoring two goals, they went down to a 3-2 home defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk.
Dundee's recent form does offer them hope of getting something from this game picking up four points from their last three matches. That includes a 1-1 home draw with Motherwell and then a 3-2 home win over Livingston. However last weekend they went down to a 1-0 defeat away to St. Mirren.
