The job is halfway done for Aberdeen as far as securing their play-off spot in the Europa Conference League is concerned. The Scottish side welcomes Breidablik Kopavogur from Iceland, leading 3-2 from the first leg with two goals from Cristian Ramirez and one from Lewis Ferguson. Going into this game, Aberdeen will have to tighten up defensively, to avoid errors that saw them lose a 2-0 lead in the first half of the first leg before Ramirez won it. They built on that with a 2-1 win away to Livingston in the Premiership and that too had jittery moments, as they came from down to win with a stoppage-time goal. Very little fault can be picked in the Aberdeen attack though; they have scored two or more in four of the last five matches and only failed to score once in the five games. Breidablik’s ambitions for this game will be affected not just by the fact that they trail from the first leg; they have to travel to Scotland and they find a much-rested opponent, who last played a day earlier. The Iceland side is coming from a 3-1 win over Stjarnan in the home league and will wish to replicate the same in Scotland. The visitors also have issues in defence, with just one clean sheet in five coming to this game, and they have conceded two or more in two of those five matches. Each of their last four matches has produced over 2.5 goals and Breidablik have scored at least two goals in the four matches. It is their away form that will pose the biggest concern, with the team having managed just one win in the last four and zero clean sheets in five.
