Slovacko have carried their poor preseason run of form to the Czech Liga and are winless in their opening two games. Sitting 12th, they are set to welcome fourth-placed Slavia Prague in week three. Below is our match preview and a prediction.

The hosts finished the preseason winless in all five outings, losing three. This run means they are winless in the last eight matches across all levels. Slovacko opened their league campaign on a losing note, falling 1-0 to Sigma Olomouc.

There was a slight improvement on matchday two, playing out a 1-1 draw with Zlin. Slovacko have managed just three wins in their last 20 league matches.

Slavia, on their part, returned to winning ways last time out after opening their campaign with a draw. They overcame Bohemians 2-0 in their latest outing, a rise from their earlier 2-2 draw with Hradec Kralove.

Were it not for Hradec’s late goal leveling matters, Slavia would have posted eight straight wins across all levels after having won all their five preseason matches and their closing game last season against Banik Ostrava.

Their title defence will get the right momentum should they win here, as that might take them to the top of the standings. The last time Slavia visited Slovacko, it ended 0-0.

They are, however, unbeaten in the last 10 meetings with Slovacko, winning eight.
