LeBron James

LeBron James is reaching the twilight of his career in basketball. The 4-time NBA Regular Season MVP was not named a starter for the NBA All-Star Games for the first time in 21 years due to a disrupted start to the season. However, that didn't stop him from making the selection for this competition as a reserve for the 22nd time.

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant, a 16-time All-Star, can be considered one of the most reliable performers in the NBA All-Star Game setting. He has an effortless offence, and while that has yet to be seen in this competition, the 2026 NBA stats can speak for themselves. 

Currently, he is averaging 25 points per game on true shooting percentage (60% and higher). Durant is the only player at the moment putting up at least six points per game in these three categories: drives to the basket, catch-and-shoot jumpers, and pull-up jumpers.

De’Aaron Fox

Due to the Greek freak Giannis Antetokounmpo not participating in the NBA All-Star Games for the second time in a row due to injury, De’Aaron Fox has been named as his replacement. The San Antonio Spurs guard is averaging strong numbers in the NBA this season. 

He is averaging 19.4 points per game this season. His standout performance came on Wednesday as he registered 27 points (11-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight assists and three steals over 32 minutes against the team's 126-113 win against the Warriors. Fox could be an up-and-comer this Sunday.

Some of the rising stars set to steal the show

Victor Wembanyama

French pro baller Victor Wembanyama is ready to shine in the NBA All-Star Games. The rising star is making his second appearance in this competition and was recently selected as a starter for the first time in his career. 

He could bring the competitive edge given his ability to take long-range shots and handle the ball in open court. Such abilities make him a player to watch for both fans and analysts.

Tyrese Maxey and Anthony Edwards

Tyrese Maxey and Anthony Edwards should not be underestimated. These two guards are capable of explosive performances in the NBA All-Star Games. The former has the speed and three-point shooting that could create scoring bursts. The latter's dunking abilities could make him a threat, not to mention the fearless drives to the basket.

Jamal Murray 

Jamal Murray is making his first appearance in the NBA All-Star Games and is set to feature in the 3-Point Contest. The rising star has posted some impressive numbers for the Denver Nuggets. He is averaging 25.7 points per game and 7.6 assists per game. He brings to the table dynamic scoring and shooting efficiency.

Guards who could control the tempo

Stephen Curry is not a player to be underestimated, especially when it comes to long-range shooting, which should make him a constant threat in this competition. How can we forget his off-ball movements, which are off the charts?

Luka Doncic is all about creativity. From moving the ball well, setting up his opponents, and the ability to score points, his involvement for Team World could turn out to be beneficial.
