Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso will head out to Morocco for an international friendly this Friday. We have below a prediction of the match.
Following a poor run of results in the World Cup qualifiers in March, Zimbabwe are seeking to stay fit before group action returns. They will be taking on Burkina Faso in the hope of improving on their performances so far.
The Southern African nation is at the bottom of Group C of the qualifiers. Zimbabwe, also taking part in the Cosafa Cup, played out a 0-0 draw with Mauritius on Wednesday, extending their winless run to seven matches.
They’ve only managed two wins in the last 10 outings, and half of those were draws.
Burkina Faso have already featured in one friendly match this month. They are coming from a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Tunisia. It was a game to forget for Bayer Leverkusen man Edmond Tapsoba, who gifted the Tunisians the lead with an own goal.
This defeat would halt Burkina Faso’s latest run of back-to-back wins, having earlier beaten Guinea-Bissau and Djibouti. The West African nation’s own World Cup qualification campaign isn’t going as badly as Zimbabwe’s.
They are placed second in Group A and look to get in shape for the coming match against Djibouti.
