Zambia will start their COSAFA Cup campaign in 2025 against Comoros. The two are playing in Group D of the competition, both seeking fast starts. We have the prediction for this match below.

Zambia, seven-time winners, had a poor run at the tournament last year, exiting early, despite having won the earlier two editions. Chipolopolo will enter this year’s competition in good shape, though they are coming from a defeat to Russia.

In the seven matches before losing 5-0 to Russia, Zambia had gone unbeaten. Among the sides that ensured they had a poor tournament last year was Comoros, who claimed a 1-0 win against the Copper Bullets.

This is a chance for Zambia to avenge the defeat, and they find their opponents in not-so-great shape. Comoros did win their last outing, beating Chad 1-0 in World Cup qualifiers.

That, however, was only their first win in four matches. They had earlier suffered three straight defeats - against Mali, and Malawi twice.

Comoros actually have just three wins in their last 10 matches, and their win over Zambia was the very first against Chipolopolo. In the six meetings between these two nations, Comoros suffered four losses.

Their last five games in the COSAFA competition resulted in three defeats and two wins.
