Watford vs Bournemouth Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Both of these sides were relegated from the Premier League last season. Watford won in midweek and are up to third in the Championship, a point and a place above opponents Bournemouth. The home side have won four of their last six league games this term and are only three points behind the league leaders Reading. Goals had been in short supply for the Hornets in their first five league matches. Only four goals had been scored in those matches, three scored by Watford but that all changed in Wednesday's home game against Blackburn Rovers. The fans had seen two 1-0 home wins over Middlesborough and Luton Town. Imagine their shock when this game produced four goals with Watford getting a 3-1 win and maintaining their 100% home league record. The two sides had two meetings in the Premier League last season. Watford drew 0-0 at home with them and won the reverse fixture 3-0. That extended their unbeaten run against Bournemouth to ten games. Nine of the last 13 games against Bournemouth have ended in a draw.

Bournemouth are fourth in the table and along with Reading are the only two unbeaten teams in the Championship. Only three of their six games have been won though. Wednesday saw them go 1-0 up at Cardiff City but failed to hold onto that lead. That's two draws in a row for Bournemouth who were held to a stalemate by QPR at the weekend.  Bournemouth have five points from their three away league games. They have led in all three matches but only won one of them. It's an improvement on the poor away form they have had in the Premier League in recent years but could prove costly in their bid to win promotion back to the top-flight.
