The quarter-final at the 2025 World Cup of Darts brings us an intriguing matchup between Wales and Hong Kong. The winner of this match will meet either the Netherlands or the Czech Republic in the semis. Let’s get into the match prediction.
With England suffering a shock exit from the competition against Germany on Saturday, Wales are now the market leaders to win the 2025 World Cup of Darts.
Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton got their campaign underway in the second round with a convincing 8-2 victory over the Philippines on Saturday afternoon.
The Welsh duo were beaten 3-2 in the 180 battle in their last match but averaged 96.43 compared to their opponents’ 89.17. They also pinned 8/21 on doubles and had a highest checkout of 70.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong have turned into a total fan favourite in Frankfurt this year, and they are playing out of their skin, having won all three games in the competition so far.
Man Lok Leung has been simply incredible, and Lee Lok Yin has supported him expertly. They downed Sweden 8-4 in round two after beating Bahrain 4-0 and the USA 4-1.
Before this year, Hong Kong had only won one of their previous 12 World Cup matches, though they did edge Wales to a 5-3 victory way back in 2015.
