The Playoff Round in the Europa League will see Viktoria Plzen taking on Heart of Midlothian in the first leg at Doosan Arena on Thursday evening. Viktoria Plzen returned to Europa League qualifying for the first time since 2020 in the third qualifying round and booked their place in the Playoffs by beating Kryvbas KR 3-1 on aggregate thanks to a 2-1 home win and 1-0 victory on the road. 

Viktorka have also made a solid start to the domestic league campaign, still unbeaten after the first five matches, including five wins and a draw. They have not conceded a goal in their last three matches in all competitions.

The hosts have won all three of their home games this season, scoring seven goals without conceding in that time. 

Meanwhile, Hearts will be playing their first match of the competition in midweek and are returning to European competition for the first time since the 2022-23 season when they featured in the group stage of the Conference League.
