The penultimate round of 16 matchup at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball World Championship will see Tunisia take on the Czech Republic on Tuesday afternoon. The winner of this match between the Eagles of Carthage and the Czechs will face either Serbia or Iran in the quarter-finals. Let’s get into the match prediction.
The 2025 FIVB Volleyball World Championship has been an incredible one for Tunisia, who are on course to record their best-ever finish in the competition (previous best 15th in 2006).
The Eagles of Carthage won two of three games during the group stage against the Philippines and Egypt in Pool A, while only dropping a single match against the Iranians.
Tunisia have been led by Oussama Ben Romdhane with 45 points in this competition. They have only faced this opponent once before (2022) and lost the match 3-1.
Meanwhile, the Czech Republic were drawn into what was expected to be the toughest group in the competition but managed to clinch second ahead of Brazil by the skin of their teeth.
The Czechs beat Serbia and China 3-0 either side of a defeat to Brazil. Three teams in Pool H finished with two wins each, with the Czech Republic claiming second on set ratio.
Patrik Indra was immense for the side in their last match, racking up 29 points, including four blocks. He is ranked joint-13th overall in the competition with 49 points so far.
