Tour de France - Stage 13 Predictions & Betting tips - Tour de France

 by Matthew Newman |

The second Individual Time Trial comes up on Stage 13, and this one is almost straight uphill! The peloton was blown apart on the first mountain stage, so let's make a prediction on who has the legs for this test.

Tadej Pogacar attacked with brutal efficiency on Stage 12, putting an incredible amount of time into his rivals. If he can bring that level of form again just one day later, he is going to be very hard to beat here, as he quite simply blew his rivals away.

Moving into second in the general classification was Jonas Vingegaard. His Visma team put the pace to the race in the peloton, but when push came to shove, Vingegaard lost more than two minutes and is now three and a half minutes behind.

The first time trial in the tour went to Remco Evenepoel. He is as good as it comes in this discipline, and although he was struggling from an early stage, that means that the effort put in was perhaps not as much as the pair above. It is hard to see beyond the three of them as the winner of this stage.

Our Tour de France - Stage 13 - Tour de France prediction

After his incredible performance on Stage 12, the most likely winner of this stage is Tadej Pogacar. Unfortunately, he is 1.17 with the bookmakers, so he is plenty short enough and just cannot be supported as a single at those odds.

Jonas Vingegaard was a bitter disappointment in the first time trial of the tour, and although this much tougher course is going to be a plus, he was well behind Pogacar, which suggests that he has a bit of work on to win this. Although there is no each way betting, a chance is taken on the best time triallist in the field in the hope that he kept a bit back on Thursday. Our Tour de France Stage 13 prediction is Remco Evenepoel to win.
