Tamara Korpatsch vs Jodie Anna Burrage Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Ningbo

Britain's JodIe Anne Burrage can continue her good run of form in 2023. The qualifier faces Tamara Korpatsch in the first round of the hard court Ningbo Open. In the second round, the winner will take on either Diane Parry or most likely the top seed Ons Jabeur. Burrage is 91st in the rankings but has been as low as 133rd this year and as high as 85th. In the Live WTA Race, the 24-year-old is in 86th position. Burrage had to qualify to get into the main draw of this outdoor hard court tournament. Her second match was a difficult one and had to come from behind to beat Joda Kolodynska. Burrage had lost her last two matches before this tournament but they were against Aryna Sabalenka (in the last 64 of the US Open) and Magda Linette (ranked 27 at the time).  Before the loss to Sabalenka, the Brit beat the then world number 38 Anna Blinkova. 

Tamara Korpatsch is ranked only 107th in the world, that's 33 places lower than at the start of the year.  Four of her last five matches have ended in defeat. That included losing two successive matches in Cleveland, after being reinstated as a lucky loser. The German needs to recapture her early August form that saw her get to the last of the Prague hard court tournament. Only eight of her 22 hard court matches played this year have been won, five coming in Prague. We tip Burrage to get the victory in this match.
