Stormers won their opening game in Pool 3 of the 2025-26 European Rugby Champions Cup. They are third in the pool and this weekend play host to leaders Stade Rochelais? Can the visitors win in South Africa? Read our match prediction below.
It's been a hugely successful season so far for Stormers. The United Rugby Championship leaders have won all six of their games, just two being played at home. Their European Rugby Champions Cup campaign began with a 26-17 away win against Aviron Bayonne.
Now they play another team from Top 14 but on home soil. Their two home games this season have both been won with just ten points conceded. That included beating Leinster 35-0 with the other win being against Ospreys.
Stade Rochelais are tenth in Top 14 and that's due to their away record. Only one of their six away league games has been won this season with five lost. They've lost their last two away fixtures, conceding 92 points with an overall points difference of -59 on the road.
Last weekend saw them beat Leicester Tigers 39-20 in their opening pool match. While qualifying for the knockout stages looks very likely, they are likely to struggle here. We tip Stormers to win on a -26.5 handicap.
