The penultimate match in the first round of the Nordic Darts Masters will see Stephen Bunting facing off against Oskar Lukasiak on Friday evening. Bullet is the number-four-ranked player in the world, while the Swedish Wonderboy is ranked 124th. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

Stephen Bunting endured a difficult Premier League campaign, finishing bottom of the table with 12 points, though he did notch up one nightly win and a runner-up finish in the competition. 

Bullet participated in the European Tour 8 competition over the weekend and picked up wins over Luke Woodhouse and Darryl Gurney, but was eliminated in round three 6-5 by Wessell Nijman. 

While Bunting’s recent record is underwhelming at four wins and six defeats in his last 10 matches, it is worth remembering that he has been going throw-for-throw against the best players in the world over the last few months. 

Meanwhile, Oskar Lukasiak suffered a second straight first-round elimination in his last match, losing to world number 46 Niels Zonneveld at the Players Championship 16 last month. 

That result marked the Swedish Wonderboy’s third straight defeat in all competitions, and he has now managed just four wins in his last 15 matches, dating back to the middle of March. 

These two have never previously met in a competitive match, but Bunting is understandably heavily fancied to come out on top in this contest.
