SK Slovan Bratislava - Zrinjski Mostar: Form Analysis
The Kings of Bratislava have been living up to their names in domestic football. They have won the Slovak First Football League for seven consecutive seasons. Last term saw them win the main league and then end the Championship Group 18 points clear.
A disastrous time in the League Phase last season.
It didn't go quite so well for them in the Champions League. They did manage to qualify for the league phase but ended that in 35th place (one from bottom) with all eight of their games being lost. At least three goals were conceded in all but one of their matches.
In the qualifiers last season, Slovan won five and drew three games, winning all four home games with 14 goals scored.
Zrinjski Mostar took on Virtus in the first qualifying round. They won the away first leg 2-0 and then won the return match 2-1 on home soil. Last season saw them win the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League by just a single point.
They have only won five of their 20 Champions League matches and never made it out of the qualifying rounds. Their last appearance in this competition was two years ago when they lost in the second qualifying round to Slovan Bratislava, the third time they've been knocked out by them.

The summer has seen Slovan Bratislava strengthening their squad. There have been several signings but not exactly the most stellar selection you've ever heard of. Up front they have signed Mykola Kukarevych from English Championship side Swansea City.
New signings are likely to be fielded by Slovan.
Their squad for this Champions League game is likely to feature some of the new players, including Sandro Cruz and Peter Pokorny. They will be looking for more goals from David Strelec who scored 25 goals for Slovan last season in all competitions.
Zrinjski Mostar will be hoping to keep it tight and return home to Bosnia and Herzegovina with a score that keeps them in this tie. They have injury problems though with defender Toni Sunjic out injured. Midfielder Marijan Cavar will also be missing for the Bosnians.
Nemana Bilbija could well be a key player in this Champions League tie. He scored three goals for Mostar in their first qualifying round match.
